About Margaret Guevara, RYT

Owner of One Door Yoga in San Anselmo

MargaretMargaret's passion for yoga began with a life changing visit to India in 2005. Traveling through southern India and spending time at the Sri Aurobindo Ashram in Pondicherry, the stay sparked in her a deep interest in yogic philosophy - an interest which has shaped every aspect of her life since.

Returning to Marin County after living in Europe for nearly 12 years, Margaret found One Door Yoga and completed her teacher training with Jeannie Laslo Douglas in 2009. She became the owner of One Door Yoga in July 2010, fulfilling a long held dream of living from her heart.

Equal to her passion for yoga is her love for community. At One Door Yoga, Margaret's vision is to cultivate a sacred space where all are warmly welcomed, encouraged, and supported at every level of their yogic practice.

About Sarah McGaffey, L.Ac., Certified yoga teacher

SarahYoga became a way of life for Sarah at the base of Table Mountain in Cape Town, South Africa. After practicing yoga for several years in Austin, Texas, where she recieved a Masters degree in Oriental Medicine, she discovered Ashtanga yoga in Cape Town. She completed her first 200-hour teacher’s training program in Ashtanga with Jim Harrington in 2007 and found her feet as a teacher in South Africa before returning to the U.S.

She trained in Hatha yoga with Jeannie Laslo Douglas, and has been teaching with us at One Door Yoga for the last year and a half. With her background in Oriental Medicine and as a Reiki master, Sarah's classes focus on the healing aspect of yoga. Her classes are based in the tradition of Hatha, combined with variations, asanas and styles from other yoga practices. Whether they are gentle, flowing, or more advanced, the heart of the classes are healing and relaxing.

Sarah offers Reiki treatments, and teaches private yoga lessons tailored to an individual's or a group's needs. It is her belief that individualized yoga lessons are ideal for working with injuries or special conditions, for deepening an advanced practice, and for an overall nourishing experience.

About Andrea Manitsas, RYT

“Using a perfectly intuitive sense of applied pressure and seamlessly weaving techniques from many different massage modalities, Barbara Fogel gives the most healing massage I have ever received.  Her style truly feels like a deep treatment, one that lasts for days, not just the typical few hours of relaxation delivered by most therapists.  She is by far the best massage therapist I have ever experienced.  I am so glad she is in the Bay area!"
